What Are the 14 Learners Centered Principles?

According to Education Evolving, there are seven principles that form the basis of school learning-centered learning. The 14 principles are divided into four factors, including the ability of the learner to influence the learning process, the learning context, and the nature of the process. We can identify what we consider to be thinking in the “learning context,” and we can also consider it in terms of thinking about the nature of our learning processes and the relationship between the learners and their learning environment. 11, 12, 15 

The American Psychological Association has conducted extensive – extensive – research to identify learners-centered psychological principles based on educational research. Psychological principles are divided into four categories: developmental, social, and individual differentiation factors that influence learners in their learning. The 14 principles were divided into cognitive, metacognitive, motivational, and effective principles (see Table 3). Finally, individual differentiation factors that influence learners “learning are influenced by the learning context and the relationship between learners and their learning environment (e.g. classroom environment, social environment, etc.). The 12 principles of learning and centering psychology focus on individual differences, which are divided into four groups, each of which influences the learning of learners. 4, 9, 15 

There are hundreds of strategies to help educators make the transition to student instruction – centered instruction. Use teaching methods that aim to help learners develop higher-order strategies to improve learning and personal responsibility for learning. There is a strong correlation between learning that involves learning and learning that is associated with learning, such as self-discipline, self-confidence and responsibility, and the application of higher learning strategies. 6, 9, 11, 14 

The focus of the student in STEM subjects is on the learning experience from both the student and the teacher’s perspective. An important undercurrent of the book is how philosophical and psychological concepts are central to educational practices that aim to place learners at the center of the experience. 8, 10 

In this lesson, I ask you to explain the 14 principles and how they apply to future teachers. These principles reflect to a large extent the nature of learning and learning, both actively and reflectively, and will improve and strengthen the quality of teaching and learning in this regard. As future educators, we must apply these 14 learning-oriented principles to make our teaching strategies effective and so that our students learn many things. This article describes the essence of the learner-centered paradigm in education and explains why this paradigm is necessary. The Learners Center framework, developed by the American Psychological Association in the 1990s, is based on the 14 principles of learning and learning, which provide an integrated perspective on factors that influence learning for learners. These principles are the result of years of systematic research and development of the learning paradigm and its principles, which can lead to effective schooling and strengthen the system that serves the nation’s children. In addition to the many excellent programs we find in schools today, we recognize and share the “learning-centric psychological principles” that are critical to the success of our nation’s education system and the development of a healthy learning environment for all students. 1, 4, 11 

Learning-centered education creates an environment in which students can teach each other, answer questions from their peers and present the results of their work. A learning-oriented approach involves participants in the learning process and encourages them to think about what they are learning and how they are learning. In a Learners Centered approach to learning, a variety of teaching methods are used at events to better engage learners. 2, 5 

Successful learners can think and learn, set reasonable learning or performance targets, monitor their progress towards these goals, and select potentially appropriate learning strategies and methods. Successful learning principles really help us to consider the goals we should set ourselves, as they cover all of these principles. A successful learner thinks about how he learns and can determine and monitor his progress towards these goals; reflects on his thinking and learning; sets and monitors reasonable learning or performance goals; and selects and monitors potentially appropriate learning strategies or methods. A successful learner thinks and learns, sets, and monitors his / her progress towards these goals. 0, 7, 9, 11 

As the first principles suggest, the ability to construct meaning from the learner’s own convictions and experiences is an essential part of learning, centered framework. This in turn influences the motivation to learn, and this, in turn, influences our motivation to learn. 1, 3
